The presentation portion of the event is for those 18 years old and up. During the presentations you will:
- Learn about the rights of children and adults with disabilities
- Find out about the free legal services offered by Disability Rights Texas
- Get your questions answered by disability rights attorneys and advocates
Adults and children can participate in the Ashley Pediatrics mobile vaccine event.
The event is free but RSVP is required by October 3, 2022. You do not have to get a vaccine to attend this event. If you would like to get a COVID-19 vaccine or booster at the event, please indicate that when registering and Ashley Pediatrics will contact you ahead of time. The Texas Disability Issues Forum (TDIF) is a nonpartisan, one-day event, where candidates for elected statewide office address issues important to Texans with disabilities. Democrat and Republican candidates for the offices of Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, and Agriculture Commissioner are invited to participate. This is an opportunity for you to learn about the candidates’ views on disability-related issues, like healthcare, voting, and education.
TDIF will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022. The event will be held in-person and it will also be livestreamed. The in-person event will be at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center on The University of Texas at Austin campus.

The Texas Rehabilitation Association’s (TRA) August Lunch and Learn will focus on service animals and the law. Guest speaker Lucia Romano, Attorney for Disability Rights Texas, will cover:
- Rights and Responsibilities of service animal owners
- Differences between service and support animals
- Where service and support animals are allowed
- Case studies and success stories
You do not need to be a TRA member to attend.

July 2022 will mark 32 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) became law. We’re celebrating the ADA this month with our Life Without Limits t-shirt fundraiser.
