Disability Rights Texas is the protection and advocacy (P&A) agency for Texans with disabilities. P&As were created by Congress in the 1970s to ensure people with disabilities are safe from abuse and neglect and that they can exercise their legal right to be included in all aspects of their communities. We utilize a variety of legal strategies to help people with disabilities understand and exercise those rights.
